Two prestigious and successful Ontario law firms have joined forces to provide the highest level of care for people suffering from the side effects of Accutane. The two firms are combining resources and strengths to ensure that the best legal services are available to their clients. Harrison Pensa’s respected experience with class-action lawsuits and civil litigation combined with Legate & Associates’ renowned client care and familiarity in the courtroom make this team the only Canadian choice for victims of Accutane.

About Legate & Associates

Legate & Associates was founded by Barbara Legate in 1996 and has since developed a reputation as Southwestern Ontario's leading personal injury law firm among its peers and as a thorough, caring and effective advocate among its clientele.

The Legate & Associates team is made up of experienced legal professionals including lawyers, law clerks, a trial coordinator and accident benefits clerks, who collaboratively work to ensure personal injury clients receive the finest representation for the best possible outcome. We are equally adept in the boardroom as in the courtroom to ensure full and fair compensation for our clients.

Legate & Associates works with personal injury clients from Toronto, London, Windsor and across Southwestern Ontario.

Barbara Legate

Barbara Legate founded Legate & Associates, and ingrained her own vision of personal injury litigation and service to clients of the firm. Barbara firmly believes that we should put ourselves in our clients’ shoes and ask, “what would I want if I was in his or her situation?” That mantra has led to a client-centered team approach focused on getting to know each client, ensuring written and verbal reporting, and client education so each client feels empowered and in charge of his or her case. Over 30 years of practice, Barbara has become known for strength and results in her representation of clients, and as a respected, thorough opponent by her peers and colleagues. She has argued significant cases in a wide variety of situations, from administrative tribunals to the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Joni Dobson

Joni Dobson is interested in serious personal injury disputes, with a particular focus on medical malpractice and motor vehicle collisions. She has represented injured people both at trial and on appeal. Joni believes that an injured person should have a strong advocate who will go the full distance when required to obtain fair results.
